Rosemount High School had four varsity contests on Tuesday and posted three wins.
Perhaps the highlight of the evening was the boys soccer team coming through for its third win of the season. The Irish beat Prior Lake 2-1 with goals from Nick Clements and Dalton Cunningham. Trevor Reis and Jake Shurts had assists for Rosemount (3-8-1, 1-5-0 South Suburban).
Also getting back on the winning side was the Rosemount volleyball team. The Irish won 3-1 against Prior Lake by scores of 25-22, 25-23, 22-25, and 25-18. It snapped a four-game losing skid for Rosemount (8-5, 1-3 South Suburban).
The girls tennis team swept Bloomington Jefferson 7-0. Virginia Norder, Ally Baker, Kirsten Hoffman and Mariah McGivern won in singles play. Makayla Newberry and Heather Castner won at No.1 doubles, Layna Mestad and Megan Harrington won at second doubles, and Rachel Olson and Emily Harrington won at No. 3 doubles.
The Irish girls soccer team was on the wrong end of a 2-1 final against Prior Lake and has now lost three games in a row. Rosemount (7-3-4, 1-2-3 South Suburban) is winless over its last 6 contests.
