Campus notes
A number of Rosemount's youth have gone on to do great things at higher learning institutions. The following recognizes some of those accomplishments.
Brittany Ann Hanson
Brittany Ann Hanson of Rosemount has been named to the dean’s list at Rochester Community and Technical College for the 2010 spring semester. Students on the list have achieved a grade point average between 3.0 and 4.0.
UW-River Falls dean’s list
Several Rosemount students have been named to the dean’s list at the University of Wisconsin-River Falls for the spring semester, 2010. Students and their majors include Beth Marie Johnson, health and human performance; Kaitlin Leigh, marketing communications; Kelly Jean Nimps, communicative disorders; Jamie O’Rourke, mathematics; and Tara Marie Straub, biology.
Bethel University dean’s list
Several students from Rosemount were named to the dean’s list for academic excellence at Bethel University, St. Paul, during the 2010 spring semester. The list honors students who achieve an outstanding scholastic record during a semester with a grade point average of 3.6 or greater. Students on the list and their majors include Tristan Boyd, engineering science; Rene Kowlessar, elementary education; Kristen Lewerenz, sociocultural studies; Ashleigh MacGillivray, English literature; Mark MacGillivray, exercise science; and Nicholas Pranke, psychology.
Ashleigh MacGillivray
Ashleigh MacGillivray of Rosemount, daughter of Hugh and Wendy MacGillivray, graduated from Bethel University in St. Paul following the spring semester of 2010. She earned a bachelor of arts degree in English literature.
Max Corrigan
Max Corrigan finished his second year as a music major at Queen's University in Kingston, Ontario. For the second year he made the dean’s honors list. A student must maintain an A- average to make the list.
Michelle J Ellingson
Michelle Janette Ellingson of Rosemount graduated from South Central College in North Mankato following the end of the 2010 spring semester. She earned an associate in science degree in nursing.
Ian C Nifoussi
Ian C. Nifoussi of Rosemount was named to the dean’s list for the spring 2010 semester at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.
Kaitln Pearson
Kaitlyn Pearson of Rosemount recently attended the Tri Sigma National Convention in Minneapolis, as a collegiate delegate. She is currently President of the Eta Theta chapter at Gustavus Adolphus College. The Eta Theta Chapter earned several awards at the convention.She is the daughter of Terry and Sue Pearson, Rosemount. She is a senior majoring in International Business.
