Rosemount Middle School will present Willy Wonka Jr. at 7 p.m. April 8-9. The show features story elements and songs from both the original Gene Wilder movie and the more recent version starring Jonny Depp, as well as some original songs. RMS choir teacher Colleen Martin-Oake said she chose the show after seeing a summer performance starring one of her former students. Several of the actors in the show have performed in community or professional theater. Ryan Poehler, who plays Mike Teavee, was in a show at the Guthrie Theater last year. There are 37 students in the cast. There are 33 students in the crew to help construct and decorate the set.
