Girls hockey: Irish roll over Eagan in section, 5-1
The Rosemount High School girls hockey team is on a roll in the Section 3 playoffs. Three days after beating Park, 6-2, in the first round the Irish beat top seed Eagan, 5-1, at Veterans Memorial Arena in Inver Grove Heights.
The Rosemount High School girls hockey team is on a roll in the Section 3 playoffs. Three days after beating Park, 6-2, in the first round the Irish beat top seed Eagan, 5-1, at Veterans Memorial Arena in Inver Grove Heights.
The win over the Wildcats gave fourth-seeded Rosemount its second straight section win over a team that had beaten it twice during the regular season. Eagan beat the Irish 4-1 in the final game of the regular season.
Rosemount beat Park 6-2 on Wednesday after losing to the Cottage Grove school twice during the regular season.
