Cassano looking for consistency from 4-2-1 squad

Rosemount girls hockey coach Tracy Cassano has preached the importance of consistency to her squad. It’s been a point of contention at times. Whether it be game-to-game or period-to-period, Cassano just wants complete efforts from the Irish. The final scores haven’t been consistent.

Rosemount girls hockey coach Tracy Cassano has preached the importance of consistency to her squad.

It’s been a point of contention at times. Whether it be game-to-game or period-to-period, Cassano just wants complete efforts from the Irish.

The final scores haven’t been consistent.

Rosemount has alternated wins and losses over its past five games. The past week included a 2-1 loss to No. 20 Hastings and a 3-1 win against Chaska/Chanhassen.

Against Chaska/Chanhassen, Rachael Kelly scored two goals while Allison Micheletti chipped in with two assists. Kayla Goehring had Rosemount’s other score, while Hannah Esselman, Jenna Bangerter and Rachel Vath had assists.

Caitlin Dantzscher made 23 saves.

In the road game at Hastings, Dantzscher came up with 27 saves.

The Raiders scored the lone goal in the third period to take the lead.

Taylor Sampson scored for the Irish with an assist to Micheletti.

Rosemount plays at Lakeville North on Saturday.
