Irish band sixth in St. Louis

The Rosemount High School marching band had another good weekend in St. Louis. The Irish finished sixth Saturday among 49 bands at the Bands of America super regional competition at the Edward Jones Dome.
RHS advanced to Saturday night's final by finishing among the top 14 bands in preliminary competition earlier in the day.
Bands from Missouri, Illinois, Kansas, Ohio, Kentucky, Louisiana, Arkansas, Nebraska, South Dakota, Oklahoma and Tennessee competed in the event.
The band will compete Oct. 24 in the Youth in Music Minnesota State and Upper Midwest Regional Championships at the Metrodome. They have won the competition each of the three years it has been held.
