In the fledgling years of a new program, wins can often be hard to come by.
No one needs to tell Rosemount-Eagan girls lacrosse coach Angel Bodine what that is like.
The Wild-Irish went through two winless years heading into the 2009 season.
This week all of the struggles took a backseat to a new feeling — victory.
It felt so good, Rosemount-Eagan decided to keep the feeling going.
The Wild-Irish (2-3) won the first two games in team history this week. They beat Visitation 14-11 on Monday and came back to post a 10-5 win on Tuesday.
“It’s satisfying, exciting, overdue,” Bodine said. “These girls deserved it. I am so happy for them. They have worked really hard for it.”
