Tubbs advances in diving at state meet

Rosemount's John Tubbs has advanced in the diving competition at this week's state boys swimming and diving meet.
The Irish were hoping for a solid start to the meet as they seek a team title.
Tubbs scored 136.45 points in the preliminaries to advance. After the semifinals, he has scored 208.20 points, and sits in 16th place overall.
The swimming preliminaries are today at the aquatic center at the University of Minnesota.
The swimming and diving finals are Saturday.
