After winning three of four games at the beginning of this month, the Rosemount girls hockey team felt it was starting to turn a corner as the season winds down.

But a pair of losses during the past week has put more pressure on the Irish with five games remaining during the regular season.

Rosemount lost 4-1 to conference-leading Eastview last week, and came back with a 3-2 non-conference loss at Hastings on Tuesday.

The conference loss to Eastview, who is still undefeated in the Lake Conference impacts the Irish’s spot in the conference standings, putting them firmly in the middle of the pack.

“I thought it was a good game,” Rosemount coach Tracy Engstrom said. “We played very well as a team in all three zones. We didn’t make any glaring or major mistakes.

Eastview opened with the lone goal in the first period. The Lightning added another in the second before Allison Micheletti scored 10:04 in the second on the power play. Rachael Kelly and Lauren Riley added assists.
