The Rosemount wrestling team — which moved into honorable mention (Lean-N-Mean) status in the latest rankings — hosted Lakeville North on Thursday and came away with a 57-12 victory. The Irish wrestlers travel to Tartan Saturday for a tournament.

The girls hockey team was at Lake Conference opponent Bloomington Jefferson and Thursday and won 4-2. Kayla Goehring and Taylor Sampson scored the first two goals of the game in the first period, and Rachael Kelly added the final two tallies in the win. Desiree Goret made 12 saves in goal for the Irish.

The boys hockey team traveled to Rochester, but its string of close losses continued. The Irish lost at Rochester Century, 4-3. It was the seventh time in eight games Rosemount has lost a one-goal game. Jake Leslie, Jared Newman and Andrew Anderson scored for the Irish.
