Run ends for Irish football in state semifinals

The postseason run for the Rosemount football team ended Saturday in the Class 5A state semifinals with a 34-10 loss to Wayzata.

The postseason run for the Rosemount football team ended Saturday in the Class 5A state semifinals with a 34-10 loss to Wayzata.

The No. 5 ranked Irish faced the No. 2 Trojans, and Rosemount scored a field goal on its opening possession. But, the Irish would be held scoreless until late in the 34-10 loss.

Wayzata will face Blaine, who has upset Eden Prairie and Cretin-Derham Hall, in the finals.
