Irish boys soccer draws top seed in section play

The Rosemount boys soccer team is the No. 8 seed in the Class 2A, Sectin 3 tournament and will face top seed Apple Valley.
The Irish finished the regular season with a 1-9-6 overall record and an 0-8-2 mark in the Lake Conference. Apple Valley won the Lake Conference with an 8-1-1 record in conference play.
The Eagles are currently ranked No. 1 in the state.
The two teams meet at Apple Valley on Wednesday, Oct. 8 at 7 p.m.
The winner will advance to face the winner of No. 4 seed Park and No. 5 seed Burnsville.
Eagan is the No. 2 seed.
