VFW Color Guard at Twins game
The Rosemount VFW Post 9433 Color Guard will present the colors at the September 26, 2008 Friday night game between the Minnesota Twins and the Kansas City Royals.
Class of 1998 reunion
A reunion for the Rosemount High School Class of 1998 will be held at Buck Hill starting at 7 p.m.

St. Martin’s Way pancake breakfast
St. Martin's Way will host a pancake breakfast at Applebee's in Rosemount from 8 am to 10 am.
Breakfast will include pancakes, scrambled eggs and sausage. The cost is $6 per person.
Applebee's is located at 15015 Cimarron Ave & County Road 42 in Rosemount, Minn.
St. Martin's Way mission is to make accessible transportation that will enable families to maintain employment which will assist in building self-esteem, becoming independent and positive community members.

The Rosemount High School Competition Cheerleaders will host a cheer clinic for kids in grades K-8 on September 27, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., at Rosemount High School. The fee of $30 includes a T-shirt and pompoms. Participants are asked to bring a bag lunch, and should wear comfortable clothes and gym shoes. Parents are invited to attend a performance at 1:30 p.m. Registrations will be accepted at the High School Performing Arts door the morning of the clinic. Please arrive promptly at 9:30 for check in.
RHS Soccer homecoming
Rosemount High School Soccer is hosting a community Homecoming Night at RHS stadium vs. Lakeville South. The girls game starts at 5:00 p.m. and boys game at 7 p.m. Free admission to all youth grades 8 & younger including REV, EVAA, RAAA players who wear a soccer t-shirt or jersey to the game. Goodie bags will be handed out to the first 100 youth entering at each game and get a free Irish soccer tattoo. So get your youth team together and come on out to cheer on the Irish!
Master gardener application due
Do you love to be in the garden? Do you enjoy making the world around you green and sharing your knowledge with others? If this sounds like you, then the Dakota County Master Gardener program invites you to join 125 other like-minded garden enthusiasts and apply to become a Master Gardener in 2009.

City-wide fall clean up
A citywide clean-up day will be held on Saturday, Oct. 4, 2008, from 8 a.m. until noon at the Rosemount Public Works Facility at 14455 Brazil Avenue, north of the Rosemount City Hall.
Not all material can be collected. The City reserves the right to refuse unacceptable material such as compost and yard waste, motor oil, or household hazardous waste like paints, solvents, and florescent light bulbs. There are other sites within Dakota County that will accept these items.
The event is for Rosemount residents only. A driver’s license or other proof of residency will be required. Participants are reminded that this event is for household quantities of materials only.

Blood drive at RUMC
In recognition of Breast Cancer Awareness month, the American Red Cross is asking all eligible donors to fight cancers by donating blood. Cancer treatments often involve aggressive use of potent drugs, which kill both healthy and cancerous cells. Blood transfusions can replenish healthy cells that were lost during treatment such as chemotherapy and radiation.
A blood drive will be held at the Rosemount United Methodist Church, 14770 Canada Ave, Saturday, October 4 from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. For more information or to make an appointment visit givebloodgivelife.org.

Fire Station No. 2, 2047 Connemara Trail, will hold a fire prevention open house Friday, October 12 from noon to 3 p.m.
Haunted Woods Trail meeting
The Rosemount Halloween Committee will have its next meeting on Monday, October 13 at the Central Park Shelter. Meeting starts at 7pm. Haunted Woods Trail
The Haunted Woods Trail will be held on Saturday, October 25, 2008 from 6 to 8pm in Central Park across from City Hall. The trail will start at the park and ride lot just north of the animal hospital. Cash donations or non-perishable food shelf items will be accepted at the entrance of the trail.
