Irishettes chili feed

The Rosemount High School Irishettes will host a chili feed at Carbone's Pizza Saturday, Oct. 18 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Cost is $5

October 23

Lasagna for literacy dinner

The Rosemount Middle School will hold a lasagna dinner, Thursday, Oct. 23 from 5 to 7 p.m.

Pre-sale Tickets can be purchased at Rosemount Middle School on Monday, Oct. 13 from 12-8 p.m. and Tuesday Oct. 14th from 7:30 a.m. to noon.

Cost is $7.00 for adults if purchased before hand or $8.00 at the door. Children 4 and under will cost $3.00 or $4.00 at the door.

For a family of four or more the cost will be $25.

Please plan to attend this exciting event to help raise funds to purchase books for students. The event will take place in the Rosemount Middle School Multipurpose Room. Please enter front doors.

RMS gladly accepts new or gently used books that are appropriate for middle school students. There will be a drop-off box available at the door.

Coffee with a cop

Rosemount police officers will be available to answer questions and clarify issues weekly at area coffee shops.

On Thursday, Oct. 23 an officer will be present at the Rosemount Dunn Brothers, 15023 Crestone Ave., from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m.

Haunted Woods Trail

The Haunted Woods Trail will be held on Saturday, October 25, 2008 from 6 to 8pm in Central Park across from City Hall. The trail will start at the park and ride lot just north of the animal hospital. Cash donations or non-perishable food shelf items will be accepted at the entrance of the trail. Dancing with the RHS Stars

Enjoy an incredible evening as seven couples perform seven different dances in competition for the most votes.

Join the Irishettes to support a favorite dance couple and help them win the Dancing with the RHS Stars Benefit Challenge.

A special performance will be danced by professional dance instructor, Jim Crawford of Attitude Dance together with Irishettes' coach, Leah Burkhardt.

The event will start at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 28 in the RHS Performing Arts Center.

Admission is $10 for adults and $6 for students.

Trick-or-Treat so Others Can Eat

Youth groups from Rosemount United Methodist, Community of Hope and Lighthouse Community churches will gather together Wednesday, Oct. 29 to collect non-perishable food items for the Rosemount Family Resource Center.

From 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. small groups of teens with the help of an adult will go door to door in Rosemount and Eastern Apple Valley collecting donations for the food shelf. Residents willing to give are encouraged to leave their lights on.

RHS Wrestling Clinic

Rosemount's 2nd Annual Wrestling Clinic will take place Thursday, Oct. 30th from 6:00-7:30 p.m in the Rosemount High School main gym.

Any child in grades k-8 who are interested in wrestling can participate.

The clinic is free. Wrestlers will receive a free t-shirt and high school varsity poster.

Rosemount Wrestling believes this clinic will get new kids involved in wrestling and expose them to how wonderful we think wrestling is.

Teen night

Rosemount youth in grades sixth through eighth who attend school in Rosemount or live within Rosemount City boundaries are invited to attend the monthly-supervised teen night Nov. 14 at the Rosemount Community Center. Teen Night is a safe environment where youth can socialize and interact with each other in a positive way. Activities include music, games, and open gym.

Cost is $2. Teen Night starts at 6:30 and runs until 9 p.m.

RAAC presents Mousetrap

The Rosemount Area Arts Council will present Applause Theater's production of The Mousetrap Nov. 14-16 at the former St. Joseph's Catholic Church on Highway 3. The show, an Agatha Christie mystery, is the longest-running show in the history of London's West End theater district. It will be on stage in Rosemount at 7:30 p.m. Nov. 14 and 2 p.m Nov. 15 and 16.
