Your weekend: Garage sale will benefit Rosemount girl
Live music, fun running and a benefit garage sale are all on the schedule this weekend in Farmington and Rosemount. Read on to find out what else is going on.
Thursdays in the Park
As part of their Thursdays in the Park series, the Rosemount Area Arts Council brings South of the River Band to the Central Park Ampitheater June 27. This event is sponsored by the City of Rosemount Parks and Recreation Department.
Dunn Bros Coffee at the Tamarack Ridge Center presents musician Mike Rundquist 8 to 10 p.m. June 28. Dunn Bros provides free live music every Friday, some come on out for this free family friendly event.
Fun run fundraiser
Girl Scout Troop 52299 in Rosemount will hold a 1K fun run starting at 8 a.m. June 29 to raise money for Susan G. Komen For the Cure. Registration for the event starts at 7:30 a.m. at Rich Valley Park, located at Rich Valley Boulevard and 105th Street. There is no registration fee but a free-will offering will be accepted. Finishers will receive a ribbon.
Rambling River Park Picnic and Worship
New Heights Christian Fellowship will be hosting a service and picnic grill at 10 a.m. June 30 at Rambling River Park. There will be worshop at 10 a.m. and the lunch will begin at 11 a.m. For more information, visit www.nhcfchurch.org.
Empire Township’s Sunday entertainment
Empire Township’s Sunday entertainment series is back for the summer. Activities start at 7 p.m. in Sachs Park. The next event is June 30. Caught in the Act jugglers will perform.
Garage sale benefit
Join a local Rosemount family in raising funds for Scarlet, who was born with a rare genetic mutation known as Schinzel-Giedion Syndrome. The garage sale is 8 a.m to 5 p.m. June 27-28 and 8 a.m. to noon June 29 at 3355 and 3330 Upper 147th St. W. All proceeds froom the garage sale will go to the Scarlet Amelie Wagner Benefit Fund. There will be baked goods, hot dogs, chips, pop and water as well.
