Coffee with a cop

Rosemount residents can have coffee and a conversation with a member of the Rosemount Police Department from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. May 20 at Morning Glory's, 14590 South Robert Trail.

A Rosemount police officer is available every Thursday to meet for informal conversation with residents. The location of the meetings rotates among local coffee shops and restaurants.

Citywide garage sale

Rosemount's annual citywide garage sale will take place May 20-22 at locations around town. Call 651-322-6011 for details.

Shannon Park

fund raiser

There will be a book sale fund raiser from 9 a.m. to noon May 22 at Barnes & Noble in Apple Valley to benefit Shannon Park Elementary School. A percentage of every purchase made with a special book fair voucher will go to the school. Vouchers will be available online at www.district196.org/sp or at Shannon Park. Money raised will go to the shannon park library and to books for the classroom.

Waggin' tales

Kids can practice their reading skills by reading to trained therapy dogs at 10:30 a.m. May 22 at the Robert Trail Library. Registration is requested. The event is intended for children ages 6 to 12.

Breakfast

fund raiser

There will be a breakfast fund raiser benefitting the Dakota Rev U16C3 girls soccer team from 8 to 10 a.m. at Applebee's in Rosemount.

Football fund raiser

There will be a fund raiser for Rosemount Irish football from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. May 22 at Carbone's in Rosemount. Carbone's will donate 10 percent of every check to the football program when payment is accompanied by a certificate available at rosemountfootball.com.

Rosemout police department sale

The Rosemount Police Department will hold its annual sale of unclaimed bicycles and other items from 8 to 11:30 a.m. May 22 at the storage garage north of city hall, 2875 145th St. Inventory includes about 50 bikes, two camcorders, a portable CD player and a circular saw. All items are sold as is and cannot be returned.
