Farmington Holiday boutique Trinity Care Center will hold a holiday boutique from 10:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Dec. 6 and 7. Vendors will display a variety of items from wall hangings to doll clothes to bakeware and more.
Trinity is located at 3410 210th St.
Farmington Cultural entertainment and dinner Minnesota Hindu Milan Mandir will hold a dinner and a night of cultural entertainment from 5:30 to 9 p.m. Dec. 6. Dinner starts at 5:30 and the show at 6:30. Entertainment will include classical dances and a fashion show. Yellow Ribbon Network anniversary
The public is invited to help the Farmington Yellow Ribbon Network celebrate its fifth anniversary on Dec. 6. The event begins with light appetizers at 6 p.m., followed by a program at 7 p.m. Gov. Mark Dayton will speak.
Downtown Dazzle Day
The Farmington Business Association will hold its annual Downtown Dazzle Day Dec. 7. The event will conclude with the lighting of the community Christmas tree.
Visit from SantaSanta and Mrs. Claus will be at the Farmington VFW from 1 to 3 p.m. Dec. 7. Kids can get their picture taken and go home with a bag of goodies and a can of soda. The VFW is located at 421 Third St.
Secret holiday shopThe Farmington Parks and Recreation Department will hold its annual secret holiday shop for kids from 9 a.m. to noon Dec. 7 at Rambling River Center. There will be gifts from 50 cents to $6.50 so parents can send their kids in to do their own holiday shopping. Parents should send their kids with a list of people to shop for and an amount to spend on each. Rambling River Center is located at 325 Oak St.
Christmas at the Steeple CenterThe annual Christmas the Steeple Center variety show will be performed at 2 and 7 p.m. Dec. 7 at the Steeple Center. Tickets are available on the Rosemount Area Arts Council’s website at www.rosemountarts.com. Tickets can be purchase at the Front Porch Tuesday through Friday 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Pancake breakfastThe Farmington Knights of Columbus will hold a pancake breakfast from 9 a.m. to noon Dec. 8 at the Church of St. Michael. Money raised will be donated to a variety of causes. The church is located at 22120 Denmark Ave.
Cookie walkThe Farmington Yellow Ribbon Network will hold its fifth annual cookie walk fundraiser from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. Dec. 8 at Rambling River Center in downtown Farmington. Anyone who would like to participate should bring two plates of a dozen cookies or holiday treats. Cookies will be packaged in holiday baskets and delivered to military families’ homes. Exhibit at Rosemount UMCA Solo Exhibition of Minnesota landscapes by Rita Beyer Corrigan is showing at the Rosemount UMC Gallery through December 8. Rita’s work has won many awards including Best Nature Representation at the Elk River National Juried Art Show. A Rosemount resident, Corrigan taught art at St Joseph’s school for more than 25 years and exhibits work in her Northrup King Building studio in Northeast Minneapolis. The Rosemount UMC Gallery is located at 14770 Canada Ave.
Christmas in the VillageVisitors can celebrate an old-fashioned Christmas at Dakota City Heritage Village’s annual Christmas in the Village event. Christmas in the Village includes horse-drawn trolley rides through a beautifully decorated turn-of-the-century village, visits with Santa and Mrs. Claus, holiday crafts and more. The event will take place from 4 to 8 p.m. Dec. 6 and 13 and from 1 to 8 p.m. Dec. 7, 8, 14 and 15.
OnStageRosemount High School will present OnStage, its musical variety show, at 7 p.m. Dec. 6 and 7 and at 2 p.m. Dec. 8 at the RHS performing arts center. The written word is the focus of this year’s show.
