Moms and Neighbors fundraiser
There will be a fundraiser for Moms and Neighbors from 6 to 11 p.m. May 2 at Carbone’s Pizza and Pub. The Prospects will perform starting at 8:30 p.m. and there will be a huge silent auction. Additionally, Carbone’s will donate a portion of its sales to the organization that night.
Moms and Neighbors is a small non-profit that provides unexpected gifts to families and teens in need within School District 196.
The Rosemount VFW will host an all-you-can-eat-cod dinner from 5 to 8 p.m. May 2 at 2625 120th St. W. The fish fry is in addition to the regular menu.
Rosemount band garage sale
The Rosemount High School band will hold its 12th annual garage sale from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. May 3 in the RHS student center. The band will accept donations through May 1 in the school’s parking lot. For information visit www.rosemountband.com.
Historical Society’s 75th anniversary
The Dakota County Historical Society will celebrate its 75th anniversary with a Big Band-Swing Dance celebration from 6:30 to 11 p.m. May 3 at the Rosemount Community Center, 13885 S. Robert Tr. The theme is “Great Movies from 1939.”
Bend in the River Big Band will entertain from 8pm to 11pm. Guests are invited to come dressed as their favorite characters from popular 1939 movies (Gone with the Wind, Wizard of Oz, Stagecoach, Wuthering Heights.) Food, beer, wine and cocktails will be available for purchase. A raffle will be held for multiple prizes.

Jazz at the Steeple Center
The Paul Renz Quartet will perform at 7 p.m. May 3 at the Steeple Center, 14375 S. Robert Tr. Cost is $5. The concert is part of the Rosemount Area Arts Council’s Jazz at the Steeple Center concert series. For more information or tickets visit www.rosemountarts.com.
Arbor Day celebration
Rosemount will host their 22nd annual Arbor Day Celebration and Tree giveaway at 10 a.m. May 3 at Central Park. The city will give 180 trees away to Rosemount residents who have proof of residency. Trees will be distributed on a first come, first serve basis.
Library artist reception
There will be an artist reception for Diamond Path Elementary School from 1 to 3 p.m. May 4 at the Robert Trail Library. Students will artwork displayed in the library through the month of May. Diamond Path will be the last to exhibit as part of the partnership between the Rosemount Area Arts Council and the Robert Trail Library to display student art in the library.
Beauty and the Beast at RHS
The Rosemount High School theater department will present Disney’s Beauty and the Beast at 7 p.m. May 1-3 and 2 p.m. May 4 in the RHS Performing Arts Center.
The third annual SWIM2WIN fundraiser will take place from 3 p.m. May 2 to 3 p.m. May 3 at Bluewater Aquatic Center in Apple Valley. There is a $5 donation to participate in the fundraiser, which is put on by a group of Rosemount High School students. All money raised goes to muscular dystrophy research.
