Titan will close Rosemount store
Titan Machinery has closed eight of its construction stores including the company’s Rosemount location. The company announced the closure as part of its fourth quarter report late last week.
Slow construction recovery was stated as the reason for the company’s downsizing. CEO David Meyer said the realignment was necessary to ensure the future of the company, in a press release.
“In the fourth quarter, our parts and service business performed well, while our equipment sales and margins continued to experience challenges due to industry headwinds across our segments,” said Meyer.
Other stores being shuttered include stores in Bozeman and Helena, MT; Cheyenne, WY; Clear Lake, Iowa and Flagstaff, AZ. The company will also reduce their staff at other dealerships and support staff at its resource center.
Titan purchased the Rosemount location from Carlson Tractor and Equipment in May, 2011. Before Titan took over the business, it was owned by the Carlson family. Clifford Carlson started the company in Hastings in 1953 and then moved to the Rosemount location at the corner of Highway 3 and County Road 42 in 1956.
At the time the company was purchased by Titan, Rich and Ron Carlson were leading the store’s operations.
Titan Machinery was established in 1980 in West Fargo, North Dakota. The Company owns and operates a network of full-service agricultural and construction equipment stores in the United States.
