Tennis: Irish keep winning
Rosemount High School's boys tennis team continued its strong season last week, beating Lakeville South, 5-2, in a Lake Conference match-up.
The Irish got victories in all four singles matches and one of the two doubles matches, en route to the victory.
At No. 1 singles, Max Corrigan dominated in a 6-0, 6-0 victory. At No. 2 singles, Chase Vogler was nearly as dominant, winning 6-1, 6-1, and at No. 3 singles Cody Osegard won, 6-3, 7-5. At No. 4 singles, Skylar Milne came out on top, 6-2, 6-3.
In doubles action, Nate Manning and Tyler Osegard won in three sets at No. 1 doubles, 3-6, 6-3, 6-2.
On Monday, the Irish fell to a strong Eastview team, 6-1.
The only victory for Rosemount came at No. 1 singles. Corrigan won Rosemount's only match, 6-1, 6-2.
At No. 2 singles, Vogler lost in the third set. At No. 3 singles, Jay Werness lost, 1-6, 0-6, and at No. 4 singles Milne lost, 2-6, 2-6.
In doubles play, Nate Manning and Tyler Osegard lost, 0-6, 2-6. Nicholas Osborn and Cody Osegard lost, 1-6, 0-6. Matt Baker and Sam Schmitz lost 3-6, 2-6.
Rosemount wraps up the regular season on Friday, when it hosts Farmington in a nonconference match-up.
