The Dakota County Board of Commissioners met on August 27, 2013 and took action with respect to the following matters:
Approvals/Adoptions/Authorizations: County Board Meeting Minutes August 13, 2013. Recognized First Judicial District Court Judge Edward I. Lynch. Held public hearing and approved modifications for Redevelopment Project No. 1 and Tax Increment Financing (TIF) Plan No. 14. Purchase virtual desktop hardware, software and licensing. Acceptance of 2014 medical, dental and short term disability plan premium rates. Scheduled public hearing to receive comments on issuance of bonds by Dakota County Community Development Agency (CDA). Farmington Library renovation design development. Direction on disposition of property within Spring Lake Park Reserve. Joint Powers Agreement (JPA) with South St. Paul Public Schools for probation services. Accept MN Department of Employment and Economic Development funds and amend contract and budget. Submit proposal for Statewide Health Improvement Program funding. Support application to McKnight Foundation for Moving the Market. Contract with HKGI, Inc. for master planning services. Revised Shoreland Easement Evaluation Criteria and Valuation formula. Submit bridge priority replacement list to MN Department of Transportation. Adopted Lake Marion and Mendota to Lebanon Hills Regional Greenway master plans. Design options on County Projects (CP) 97-114 and 97-115. Underpass design option on CP 97-116. Maintenance agreements with cities for storm sewer systems. Contract with University of Minnesota for transportation research and related JPA with the CDA for cost reimbursement. Accept resignation from member of Extension Committee. Summary of conclusions of closed executive session. Proclaim Annual Giving week in Dakota County. Schedule Board Tour and workshop for Lebanon Hills master plan update. Contract with Trojes Trash and Recycling for resource management services at county facilities. Contract with G4S Secure Solutions, Inc. for security officer services. Amend budget for Farmington Library exterior improvements. Award bids and execute contracts with Fitzgerald Excavating and Trucking, Inc. for storm damage and Bituminous Roadways, Inc. for CP 47-36. Contract with Wilson Development Services, LLC for right of way services for CP 5-41, CP 50-17 and CP 9-46. Agreement with Progressive Rail Incorporated for signal and crossing improvements for CP 60-21 and 50-17. Contract with Associated Clinic of Psychology for mental health services in Dakota County Jail. Amend JPA with Rosemount for Law Enforcement records management.
