Rosemount high school students qualify for DECA nationals
Seven Rosemount High School students have earned the chance to represent their school at the DECA International Career Development Conference the week of April 27 in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Four students qualified by finishing first at the recent state conference. John Herron took the title in the retail merchandising category; Dylan Mato and Jason Lamoreaux teamed up to finish first in sports and entertainment marketing; and Sara Devitt finished first in sales demonstration - business to business.
Amelia Volkert finished second in hotel lodging management series.
Devitt and Micah Marshall finished third in sports marketing team; Katelyn Paget finished third in hospitality operation market research; and Volkert finished third in hospitality professional selling.
Other RHS students who were state finalists are: Matt Simmering, Jade Gunderson, Natalie Markiewicz, Katelyn Gerlach, Austin Peelor, Molly Reber, Connor Johnson, Austin Tharp, John Chunh, Greg Pavola, Nolan Swalve, Preston Webb, Kirsten Johnson, Shannon Swanson and Tessa Kohler.
