Rosemount debater qualifies for state
Rosemount High School student Alekhya Tallapaka was one of 19 students from Rosemount-Apple Valley-Eagan schools who qualified Jan. 10-11 for this weekend’s state debate tournament.
Talapaka finished fifth in the qualifying rounds of the Lincoln-Douglas competition. She debated the resolution: Resolved: Developing countries should prioritize environmental protection over resource extraction when the two are in conflict.
