Rosemount High School choir students have earned recognition in several forms recently.

Seven RHS sophomores and juniors have earned spots on next year's 11th- and 12th-grade Minnesota ACDA High School Honor Choir. Students were chosen based on a recorded audition. They will perform a new major work for choirs Nov. 18 at St. Andrew's Lutheran Church in Mahtomedi.

Several RHS students received honorable mention recognition. They are: Matt Billings, Tyler Blumke, Christy Emanuelson, Caitlin Hanson, Stephanie Houlihan, Jessica Hukka, Cory McMenomy, Meghan Olson, Taji Onesirosan, James Terhar and Maxee Whitford in the solo category; Madeline Murphy and Paul Wollersheim as a duet; Tyler Blumke, Brandon Chapman, Hannah Haage, Stephanie Houlihan, Ryan Kladar, Madeline Murphy, Elise Randall and Kyle Weiler as a double quartet; the RHS men's ensemble and the RHS women's ensemble.

Students chosen for all-state choirs will attend a five-day summer music camp in August.
