RHS speakers succeed at recent competitions
Rosemount High School speech team members have had success in some recent competitions.
Sophomore Nicole Hutchinson finished second in the storytelling category at the recent section tournament and will compete in the state tournament April 19. Senior Natalie Hillerson finished fourth in informative and senior Belle Allan finished sixth in prose. Junior Alekhya Tallapaka finished seventh in extemporaneous speaking.
Hutchinson finished first in storytelling at last weekend's tournament in Cannon Falls. Tallapaka was fourth in poetry, Hillerson was fifth in prose and Geeth Gutta was honorable mention in oratory.
The recent finisheds qualified Hutchinson, Tallapaka and Hillerson for all-conference recognition. Sophomore Sawyer Murray had previously qualified for all-conference honors in storytelling.
