Overall, the Irish finished 27th in the AA competition with 11 points. Eastview won the girls meet with 74 points.

Pratt finished the 400-meter dash in 57.20 seconds. Alexis Brown of Eastview won the competition in 56.17.

"She did a great job and we will continue to see great things from her in the future," Irish coach Sara Hatleli said of Pratt, only a freshman.

Pratt was also a member of the 4x400-meter relay team, which finished fifth in 3 minutes, 57.44 seconds. The team from Hopkins won the event in 3:54.81.

Rosemount's relay team was made up of Pratt, Megan Dean, Maggie O'Malley and Britta Nelson.

"Our 4x400-meter relay team was fifth and they ran a great race," Hatleli said. "Every athlete ran their fastest race of the season and they broke the school record by two seconds."

Also advancing to state for the Irish was Lynn Robohm in the high jump. Robohm finished 15th in the competition. She cleared 5-feet-3 in the preliminaries, and then 5-0 in the finals. The winner was Katie Guse of Waseca, who cleared the bar at 5-9 in the finals.
