Reber leads Irish to big week
Rosemount's boys golf team is playing its best rounds of the season at the perfect time.
As the section tournament approaches, the Irish have stepped up their games.
"We have been working hard on some things," Irish coach Dick Forsberg said. "It kind of came together."
Last weekend, the Irish finished third at the Dakota Invitational at Emerald Greens.
Rosemount finished with a score of 321. Lakeville North scored a 303 to pick up the victory.
Sam Reber shot a 77 to finish at the top of Rosemount's standings. Colin Anderson had an 83, Connor Johnson had an 81, Tony Lorence had an 85 and Eric Frahm shot an 80.
Reber's outing continued a string of strong performances.
"He has had three good outings in a row right now," Forsberg said. "He shot pretty well in the Dakota Invitational."
On Monday, Reber shot a 73, which Forsberg called a "great score," and Rosemount finished sixth at the Lake Conference event at Valleywood. Eden Prairie took first place at the event with a 290. Rosemount shot a 319.
