Police investigating break-in at St. Joseph School
Rosemount police are working with police in Inver Grove Heights and Eagan to investigate a series of burglaries last Thursday night or Friday morning.
Only one break-in happened in Rosemount. Sometime between 8 p.m. Thursday, when the janitor left, and 5 a.m. Friday, when the first employee arrived, someone broke into St. Joseph School and stole cash.
Rosemount police chief Gary Kalstabakken said there was no sign of forced entry at the school. There was some damage to interior doors caused when someone broken into an office.
The other burglaries took place at Cooper's Restaurant and the Trestle Stop Gas Station. Kalstabakken said police are trying to figure out whether the break-ins are connected.
"We'll look into it," Kalstabakken said. "All of them were right along Highway 3, all on Thursday night. They're totally different businesses, but it's worth looking at."
