Photo seminar comes to DCTC
Love photography? There’s an event coming to Rosemount that might be perfect for you.
The Twin Cities Council of Camera Clubs will host its Spring Break Photography Seminar from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. March 22 at Dakota County Technical College. Event organizer Mark Freier said the seminar will include presentations on a broad range of topics for adults and youth interested in the art of photography. There will be 20 sessions to select from.
Topics will include nature landscapes, portraits, photo software and legal aspects of photography. Additionally, a studio will be open with models for most of the day. Freier encouraged attendees to bring their camera.
The daylong event offers instructional opportunities and shooting sessions to help photographer new and old hone their skills. Freier said the group has had great success in offering similar events in the past hopes to draw a good crowd.
The organization held a similar event at DCTC last year. Freier said more than 270 people attended. He hopes to get at least 300 attendees this year.
Registration costs $40 for Twin Cities Area Council of Camera Clubs members, $45 for non-members and $25 for students. Registration will be $50 the day of the event. The fee includes access to all sessions, lunch and refreshments.
