Pair finds medallion
Rosemount Minnesota P.O. Box 192 / 312 Oak St. 55024

It didn't take Andrew Smeed and Trent Woodcock long to track down this year's Leprechaun Days medallion. The pair needed just two clues to track down the precious medal near a manhole cover in Meadows Park, next to the new Rosemount Fire Station.

For their efforts Andrew and Trent won a gift basket filled with more than $600 in goodies including:

A $50 savings bond from Rosemount National Bank, $130 in yarn and needles from Yarn Garage, a $50 gift certificate from MGM, $54 worth of cards, CDs and stuffed animals from Hallmark, $54 in mugs and coffee from Starbucks, $40 in free haircuts from Fantastic Sams, a $26 party tray from Quiznos, a $25 gift certificate from Goodyear, $20 gift certificates from Impress Nails, Cahill Salon, Nail Design, Applebees, Superstars and Pizza Man and $10 gift certificates from Shenanigans, Great Clips, Rosemount Liquor Mart and China Wok.

Here are the clues searchers had to work with:

1. Leprechaun Days have started/The medallion is concealed/Go search Rosemount's parks/Great riches it could yield

Come one and come all/The whole family is invited/Put on those thinking caps/Take a friend and get excited

As is said every year/Nothing needs to be destroyed/Not too high or too low/Hope your day was enjoyed

You can hike in the park/Or just play some B-Ball/Kids climb and they slide/Others sit on the wall

If you find the medallion/To Rosemount National Bank head/If you were not successful/Check tomorrow's clue instead

2. And now on day two/Let's get serious looking/You can picnic close by/But can't do any cooking

The Leprechaun hops and skips/He smiles as he dances/He understands with each clue/Your search he enhances

If you're out on the field/And you are starting to swelter/Take a break in the shade/Have a rest in the shelter

To help with your search/On each clue you must dwell/Read them over again/Think hard and think well

If you found it you're smiling/But if not there is sorrow/You can throw in the towel/Or you can come back tomorrow
