Meet the city council Jan. 17
Rosemount residents are invited to meet the new members of the city's leadership during the city council's open house on Saturday, Jan. 17.
The mayor and council members will greet citizens between 9 and 11 a.m. at the council chambers in City Hall, 2875 145th St. West.
Among those attending will be newly elected council members Kurt Bills and Jeff Weisensel, and city administrator Dwight Johnson, who joined the staff in August.
The council will begin work in January to set its goals, which guide the city's staff. The goals also serve as a starting point for the process to set the 2010 budgets.
Residents can drop in at any time during the two-hour open house to have a one-on-one conversation with city officials. The mayor will offer a brief overview of major issues near the start of the event.
This is the third year in a row the council has hosted an open house to invite input from the public.
