Man charged for violating no contact order
A 31-year-old Golden Valley man faces a felony charge of violating a domestic abuse no-contact conviction after he reportedly became violent with a woman in a Rosemount home.
Rosemount police received a report of the incident on July 22. According to the reporting party the man, identified as Deondra Redmon, had become physical with the woman and possibly had brass knuckles.
Police found Redmon hiding under a bed in the home.
According to a complaint filed last week in the Dakota County Attorney's office, Redmon was convicted of domestic abuse on June 4 and ordered not to have any contact with the woman. He was also convicted of domestic assault, interfering with an emergency call and violating a no-contact order, all in 2011.
If convicted this time of violating a no-contact order Redmon could face up to five years in jail and fines of up to $10,000.
