Legion baseball: Extra innings aren't enough to name a winner
Rosemount Minnesota P.O. Box 192 / 312 Oak St. 55024

A marathon game ended the way very few baseball games do last week for the Rosemount American Legion baseball team: In a tie.

The Rosemount Legion team went 11 innings in what should have been a seven-inning game Monday night against Lakeville North, but when the game finally ended the score was still knotted at 5-5.

Legion coach Tom Buske said his relief staff were the stars of the game. Alex Duffy, John Birkholz and Dennis Reinhardt gave up just one earned run on three hits over six innings pitched.

The Legion team went 1-2 in the Moose Country Tournament last weekend. Jake Schulze helped his team get a win over Giant Valley with a complete game shutout.
