Heather Kampf reaches 1,500 finals at world indoor championships

2005 Rosemount graduate Heather (Dorniden) Kampf found out Monday she will represent Team USA at the IAAF World Indoor Championships this weekend in Sopot, Poland.

Kampf, who finished third in the 1,500 at the US Indoor Championships with a time of 4:13.04 two weeks ago in Albuquerque, was next in line to join the team after US indoor champion Mary Cain backed out due to an injury.

Update: Kampf placed second in her heat of the 1,500-meter run Friday morning in Sopot, Poland, with a personal-best time of 4 minutes, 11.27 seconds. The finals are at noon local time on Saturday in Sopot.
