Despite a season-low score of 31.9 on the uneven bars, the Irish turned in their second highest team score with a 138.7. Northfield pulled away from the pack with a score of 147.425 and Winona (143.65) and Owatonna (141.625) rounded out the top three.

Schlie placed in the top five in vault, balance beam and floor exercise and came in fifth overall with an all-around score of 36.925. She placed third in the floor exercise with a 9.5, fourth in the vault with a 9.425 and fifth in the balance beam with a 9.3.

Two other Irish gymnasts cracked the top 10 with a pair of seventh-place finishes. Meghan Creese tied for seventh in the vault with a 9.35 and Abby Nelson placed seventh in the balance beam with a 9.1. Nelson also scored an 8.9 in the vault and an 8.75 in the floor exercise for an all-around score of 34.05.

"Placing in the top 10 at this meet is tough," Rosemount coach Jason Passeri said.

Shannon McCoy finished third for the Irish in the all-around with a score of 33.925. She had an 8.975 in the floor exercise and an 8.95 in the vault.

The Irish were back at Rosemount High School for the first of three straight home meets Tuesday against Prior Lake. They compete again next Tuesday against Bloomington Jefferson.
