Gymnastics earns big win, swimming continues to roll in Tuesday night's action

It was a packed schedule for the Irish varsity sports teams on Tuesday. The gymnastics team bounced back from a rare loss to earn a good win against Lakeville South, while the boys swimming and diving team stayed on a roll with a meet at Eastview.

The gymnastics team hosted Lakeville South and won 144.45-142.575.

The boys swimming and diving team - undefeated and in line for a Lake Conference title - went to Eastview and won easily, 109-61. The Irish boys will participate in the True Team state meet on Saturday at the University of Minnesota Aquatics Center after winning the True Team section title last weekend.

The boys basketball team had a tough road game at Minnetonka and lost 84-70.

The girls basketball team played No. 7 Richfield and lost 67-61.

The boys hockey team faced undefeated and No. 1 Bloomington Jefferson, losing 8-1.
