The host Lakers pulled away from the rest of the six-team field with 231 1/3 points, but the Irish hung with the rest of the pack, scoring a third-place total of 108 5/6 points.

"The coaching staff was pleased with the performances. Many athletes improved from their performances from last week at Eastview," Rosemount coach Sara Hatleli said. "There were also athletes who tried new events and their performances were very encouraging. We have a lot of work to do to make sure our team is ready for the conference, section and state meet, but we are definitely headed in the right direction."

Natalie Busher earned the Irish's lone first-place finish in the high jump where she cleared 5 feet, 2 inches. She was also second in the triple jump with a leap of 34-01. Other field event points were supplied by Katherine Tombs in the shot put (fifth, 32-03) and Taylor Gryzwacz in the discus (fifth, 95-08).

Rosemount scored 14 points in the 300 hurdles where Ellie Vraa and Madeline Phillips supplied a 2-3 finish. Also placing third were Liz Evenocheck in the 800 (2:32.09), Taylor Rambo in the 3,200 (12:20.73) and the 4x200 relay.

Coming in fourth were Rachel Schow in the 100 hurdles (17.27), Thana Hussein in the 400 (1:05.22) and the 4x400 and 4x800 relays.

Emily Davis added a seventh-place finish in the 1,600 and Kaitlyn Debaun and Phillips came in 7-8 in the 200.
