The Rosemount girls track team finished squarely in the middle of the pack at last Tuesday's Section 3AAA True Team meet, placing fifth out of 10 teams at Apple Valley.
The Irish scored 658 points, 50 fewer than fourth-place Apple Valley and 40 more than sixth-place Burnsville. Prior Lake won the meet with 967 points.
The Irish's best showing came in the 100 hurdles, where Rachel Schow placed first in 16.06 seconds and teammate Ellie Vraa was right behind in second place in 16.19 seconds. The duo also came in second and fourth, respectively, in the 300 hurdles, and contributed to a second-place finish in the 4x200 and a third-place effort in the 4x100.
Josie French was also a four-event place-winner for the Irish. She took fourth in the 100 and fifth in both the high jump and 200.
In the field events, Haley Polk paced the Irish with a third-place leap of 16 feet, 10 inches in the long jump and a fourth-place triple jump of 34-10.
Katie Duff finished third in the discus with a spin of 125-4 and teammate Molly Gruenke was eighth.
Abigail Monn added a sixth-place toss in the shot put.
Sydney Hansen added a 10th-place time of 2:28 in the 800.
The Irish placed fifth in the 4x800 and ninth in the 4x400.
The team is now preparing for the South Suburban Conference Championships. The preliminaries get under way Tuesday afternoon at Eagan.
