Norder qualified for her second straight Class 2A State individual tournament.

Last Thursday, Virginia Norder qualified for the Class 2A State team tournament when Rosemount defeated top-seeded Prior Lake.

Norder, a sophomore, dropped the first set to Danielle Donahue of Eagan 3-6, but bounced back with back-to-back 6-3 wins to earn the state berth.

Megan Harrington was Rosemount's other entrant in the individual bracket and lost in the first round, 6-1, 6-0.

Rosemount's third-seeded doubles team of Kirsten Hoffmann and Ally Baker won its first two games before bowing out to Prior Lake's sixth-seeded team in the quarterfinals.
