The Irish won the team trophy by defeating Orono 8-0, Henry Sibley 8-0 and Cannon Falls 7-1. The team's lone individual loss came at No. 4 doubles where Cannon Falls' team won a third-set super-tiebreaker.

The rest of the meet was all Rosemount.

In singles play, Virginia Norder, Ally Baker, Mariah McGivern and Rachel Hoffman all went 3-0. The top three Irish doubles teams were also perfect in three matches.

Cannon Falls took second place, defeating Orono 7-1 and Henry Sibley 8-0. Orono topped Henry Sibley 5-3.

The Irish resume their South Suburban Conference schedule with a couple of matches this week. They traveled to Lakeville North Tuesday and are back home this afternoon against Lakeville South.

Rosemount 6,

Eastview 1

The Irish geared up for their weekend tournament by scoring a 6-1 South Suburban Conference decision over Eastview Thursday in Rosemount.

The duo of Kirsten Hoffman and Megan Harrington led a sweep of the doubles matches with a 6-4, 6-1 victory at No. 1 doubles. Layna Mestad and Abby Kohagen came from behind for a 3-6, 6-2, 7-5 win at No. 2 doubles and Rachel Olsen and Emily Harrington rallied to score a 4-6, 6-1, 6-4 win at No. 3 doubles.

"We had played Eastview early in the season in a tournament and had some close matches with them. We knew they would bring it for our conference match," Rosemount head coach Dana Beck said. "Doubles started out slow but changed up their games to win the second sets and take the victory for Rosemount in the third sets. Doubles played well and mixed it up when needed to challenge their opponents."

The top three singles matches went to Norder, Baker and McGivern in straight sets. Eastview avoided the sweep thanks to a 6-1, 6-1 decision over Rachel Hoffman at No. 4 singles.
