Girls lacrosse: Narloch scores hat trick in setback
Rosemount Minnesota P.O. Box 192 / 312 Oak St. 55024

A fast start propelled Park of Cottage Grove past Rosemount in the Irish’s home opener last Tuesday.

The Wolfpack scored seven unanswered goals in the first eight minutes and held on for an 11-7 victory at Irish Stadium.

“After we called a timeout after the seventh goal, we controlled all aspects of the game for the final 42 minutes,” Rosemount coach Jeff Smith said. “We were not able to climb out of that early deficit.”

Sydney Narloch led the Irish with three goals, tying her for the team lead with five through three games. Sam Rhody also has five after notching two against Park, and Darby Henjum and Angela Bodine each scored single goals.

Rhody added a pair of assists, as well, and Maggie Moeller, Hillary Smith and Meghan Tuccito each tallied one assist.

Charley Belden played all 50 minutes in goal and stopped four Park shots.

The Irish (1-2) travel to Eastview and Eagan this week before returning to Irish Stadium to take on Lakeville North on Tuesday.
