Girls lacrosse: Irish end skid before falling to Apple Valley

The Rosemount girls lacrosse team got to experience victory one last time before bowing out of the Section 3 tournament.

The Irish entered the tournament on an 11-game losing streak, but took advantage of their opportunity to put an end to it by routing ninth-seeded Hastings 16-4 in the opening round. The prize for the victory was a date with No. 1 seed and third-ranked Apple Valley and the Eagles put an end to Rosemount’s season with an 18-2 win.
