Girls basketball: Shooting goes cold at Apple Valley

Just like the Rosemount girls hockey team, the Rosemount girls basketball team's season came to an end with a trip to Apple Valley.

The sixth-seeded Irish scored just 14 points in the first half and shot 26 percent from the floor in a 69-39 loss to the third-seeded Eagles last Wednesday night in the opening round of the Section 3AAAA tournament. It was the eighth time the Irish were held under 40 points in a game during their 9-18 season.
