Cheer team breakfast

Come join the Irish competition cheer team at the Applebee's in Rosemount for an all-you-can-eat pancake breakfast from 8 to 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 19.

Irishette dance camp

Come join the Irishette danceline Sept. 19 for a day of fun and learn a routine to perform at the Sept. 25 home football game.

Cost of participation includes a t-shirt, drink and pizza.  Walk ins welcome.

AARP driving class

Learn about current rules of the road, how to operate your vehicle more safely in today's increasingly challenging driving environment and some adjustments to common age-related changes in vision, hearing and reaction time. Specifically, you will learn about: maintaining proper following distance at all times, the safest way to change lanes and make turns at intersections, the effects of medications on driving, minimizing the effect of dangerous blind spots, limiting driver distractions such as eating, smoking and cell phone use, properly using safety belts, air bags, and anti-lock brakes, maintaining physical flexibility and continuing to monitor your own and others' driving skills and capabilities. Upon completing the course, you'll develop a greater appreciation of driving challenges and how you can avoid potential collisions and injuries to yourself and others. You also may be eligible for insurance discounts.

Coffee with a cop

Officers of the Rosemount Police Department will be available to answer questions at various coffee shops within the community from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m.

On Sept. 24 an officer will be at Starbucks 14903 S. Robert Trail.

Mystery dinner auditions

Auditions for the Rosemount Area Arts Council's  "Reunited With Murder" murder mystery dinner theater will be held at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 24 at the RAAC offices, 14450 Robert Trail.  They are looking for actors and actresses that can look 30+.  The show will take place at 6 p.m. Nov. 13 at the Rosemount Community Center.  For ticket information go to: rosemountaac.org. Cheer clinic

Girls in grades K-8 are welcome to participate in a fun-filled day of cheer, dance and games.

Clinic cost includes poms and a t-shirt. Registrations are due by Monday, Sept. 14.  Call 651-683-6969  ext. 4476 for more information.

Coffee with a cop

Officers of the Rosemount Police Department will be available to answer questions at various coffee shops within the community from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m.

RUMC Health Fair and blood drive

Rosemount United Methodist Church, 14770 Canada Ave, will hold a Red Cross Blood Drive and a health fair Saturday, Oct. 3.

The community is welcome and encouraged to attend.   

The blood drive will be held from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.  Appointments are appreciated, but walk-ins are welcome.

The RUMC Health Fair  will be from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Get your blood pressure taken, your blood sugar checked, find out about H1N1 flu, healthy aging, community services for caregivers, talk to a pharmacist about medications or a chiropractor about an ache or pain and much more.

Family Oktoberfest

A Family Oktoberfest will be held from 2 to 8 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 3 at the Rosemount American Legion, 14590 Burma W.

Fall clean-up day

A citywide clean-up day will be held from 8 a.m. to noon Saturday, Oct. 3 at the Rosemount Public Works facility at 14455 Brazil Ave., north of the Rosemount City Hall.

Project Launch celebration

Dakota Futures will have a project launch celebration for its Dakota County Intelligent Design Initiative, 8 a.m. to noon Oct. 9 at Dakota County Technical College.

Teen night returns

Rosemount youth in grades 6-8 during the 09-10 school year who attend school in Rosemount or live within Rosemount boundaries are invited to attend the monthly, supervised teen nights at the Rosemount Community Center. Teen night is a safe environment where youth can socialize and interact with each other in a positive way. Activities include music, games and open gym.

Every participant must have a parent authorization/emergency contact form on file in order to attend teen night. A new form must be completed each school year.
