There will be a Teen Advisory group meeting from 3:15 to 4:15 p.m. Oct. 23 at the Robert Trail Library, 14395 S. Robert Trail.
This is a group of teens who are interested in volunteering at the library and in making recommendations for library programming and purchases. If anyone 12 to 17 is interested in joining, you may come to the meeting and check it out or pick up an application at any time and join.
Business appreciation lunch
The city of Rosemount will host a business appreciation luncheon at 11:30 a.m. Oct. 23 at the Rosemount Community Center.
Haunted Woods Trail
Rosemount's annual Haunted Woods Trail event will take place 6 to 8 p.m. Oct. 24 in Central Park.
The trail will begin at the park and ride lot on Hwy. 3 (South Robert Trail), wind its way through Central Park, and exit onto 145th Street West.
Area volunteers will pass out candy. Donations will be accepted at the trail entrance.

The Robert Trail Library will have a family Halloween storytime at at 7 p.m. Monday, Oct. 26. Costumes are encouraged.
Meals of Hope
Community of Hope serves meals every Tuesday night at 5:30. If things are tight in your household attend as guests or if you know a family in the community in need, invite them. Contact Dave Olson at firstname.lastname@example.org or 651-592-4392 cell with any questions.
Coffee with a cop
Officers of the Rosemount Police Department will be available to answer questions at coffee shops within the community from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m.
On Oct. 29 an officer will be at Morning Glory's, 14590 S. Robert Tr.
Edward Jones open house
Edward Jones financial advisor Stacey Brown will host an open house at her new Rosemount office, 3420 150th St. W. There will be a ribbon cutting at 3 p.m. and the event wil go until to 6:30 p.m.
Paranormal team at library
The Hastings Paranormal Team will give a presentation of their work 1 to 3 p.m. Oct. 31 at the Robert Trail Library, 14395 S. Robert Tr. The team detects ghosts, using technology, which they will demonstrate. They will have pictures and sounds and lots of interesting stories of local haunts. Dance Connection will host a Halloween Party 2:30 to 4 p.m. Oct. 31 at its studio, 15145 Carrousel Way. Bring a non-perishable food items to donate.

Nov. 6 and 7
Henna artist at the library
Victoria Welch, a Henna Tattoo artist, will come to the Robert Trail library from 3 to 4 p.m. Friday, Nov. 6 and from 11 a.m. to noon on Saturday, Nov. 7 to teach teens all about using henna for body art. She is a natural henna artist and only uses the finest ingredients. Expecting the program to be popular the library will limit each class to 20 participants so teens that are interested should register in advance. Teens must be at least 12 and still in school. Rosemount Parks and Recreation will offer the American Red Cross-sponsored babysitting class 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Nov. 7. This class will provide an opportunity for youth to prepare themselves for the responsibility of childcare, or you as a parent may wish to send your favorite student/ babysitter to this informational class. The class will cover leadership, safety and safe play, basic care and first aid. Participants will receive a handbook and certificate of class completion. Participant's 11 years of age and older are encouraged to attend.
Register early, class is limited to 12 participants. Registration is due Nov. 2.
Rosemount National Bank will host a free homebuyers workshop the first and third Saturdays in November from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m.

African stories and music
Experience the magic of storyteller Danielle Daniel at 7 p.m. Monday, Nov. 9, at the Robert Trail Library. Danielle will hold young and old spellbound with her presentation of folk tales, stories, jokes, riddles, folk songs and blues handed down through the generations. She will be joined by musician Alphonse Bolden. This presentation is part of Dakota County Library's annual Minnesota Mosaic® cultural arts series. The Dakota County Library Foundation sponsors the series, with additional support from Target Corporation. RAAC Mystery Dinner Theater
The Rosemount Area Arts Council will host Reunited with Murder Nov. 13 at the Rosemount Community Center.
