Bell Choir

Rosemount United Methodist Church will host the Area VII Youth Bell Conference Nov. 1. The conference evening will crescendo with a concert featuring all of the bell festival participants and special guest composer and conductor Tim Waugh.


Waugh has established himself as a champion for performing arts of all types. He is a popular conductor, composer and clinician of many conferences and festivals for ringers and directors.

No tickets are required and there is no cost to attend. The show starts at 6:30 p.m. Plenty of seats are available. For more information call the RUMC 651-423-2475.

Rifle site-in

The Dakota County Gun Club will hold a rifle sight-in event of Nov. 1 and 2. The events run from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The event is open to the public. The club is located at 17501 Station Trail.

The club charges adults $7 to shoot. Kids under 16 who present a certificate from a gun safety course shoot for free.

November 4

Sno-Toppers meeting

The Rosemount Sno-Toppers meet the first and third Tuesdays of the month at the Rosemount American Legion.

The next meeting will be held Nov. 4 at 8 p.m. The club, which grooms area snow mobile trails, is looking for new members to keep the club going.

November 6

Coffee with a cop

Rosemount police officers will be available to answer questions and clarify issues weekly at area coffee shops.

On Thursday, Nov. 6 an officer will be present at the Rosemount Starbucks, 14903 S. Robert Trl., from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m.

Let's Give Thanks dinner

The Rosemount Area Seniors will celebrate Thanksgiving with a catered turkey dinner with all the trimmings. Reservations are required by Oct. 31. Sign up at the Do Drop Inn or call Mary at 651-423-3315. Cost is $8 for members and $10 for non-members.

November 8

Spiritual Spa Conference

Community of Hope Church, 14401 Biscayne Ave. W., will host a Spiritual Spa Conference for Women Saturday, Nov. 8 from 7:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The day will include chair massages, facials, pedicures, manicures, up doos & hair cuts.

In addition break out sessions will include topics such as "How to Get the Job You Want" and "Fashions Fade, Style is Eternal"

At 10 a.m. there will be worship music & keynote speaker Jan Erickson.

At 11:30 a catered lunch will be served followed by a fashion show.

Cost is $25 per person and includes sessions, a choice of services, continental breakfast, lunch & fashion show.

Coffee with a cop

Rosemount police officers will be available to answer questions and clarify issues weekly at area coffee shops.

On Thursday, Nov. 13 an officer will be present at the Rosemount Dunn Brothers, 15023 Crestone Ave., from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m.

November 14

Teen night

Rosemount youth in grades sixth through eighth who attend school in Rosemount or live within Rosemount City boundaries are invited to attend the monthly-supervised teen night Nov. 14 at the Rosemount Community Center. Teen Night is a safe environment where youth can socialize and interact with each other in a positive way. Activities include music, games, and open gym.

Cost is $2. Teen Night starts at 6:30 and runs until 9 p.m.

Nov. 14-16

RAAC presents Mousetrap

The Rosemount Area Arts Council will present Applause Theater's production of The Mousetrap Nov. 14-16 at the former St. Joseph's Catholic Church on Highway 3. The show, an Agatha Christie mystery, is the longest-running show in the history of London's West End theater district. It will be on stage in Rosemount at 7:30 p.m. Nov. 14 and 2 p.m Nov. 15 and 16.
