Band garage sale
The Rosemount High School marching band will hold its seventh annual garage sale Saturday, May 2 from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the high school student center.
Donations for the garage sale will be accepted at the collection trailer in the high school parking lot during the following times: April 25, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.; April 26, noon to 3 p.m.; April 27 - 30, 6 to 8 p.m.; May 1, 4 to 8 p.m.
Arbor Day Celebration
The city of Rosemount will celebrate the 17th annual Arbor Day and give away trees Saturday, May 2 starting at 10 a.m.
The city will also give away trees from six to eight feet in height to residents of Rosemount. There will be a variety of tree species available.
The first 150 residents of Rosemount who have proof of residency will receive a tree. Due to limited quantity, there is a limit of one tree per household.

Due to the sensitive nature of bare root trees, they will need to be planted within 24 hours of the giveaway.

Make a Joyful Noise
The Rosemount United Methodist Worship Arts Ministry will feature their best variety of music 6:30 p.m. Saturday, May 2 at Rosemount UMC.

Rosemount youth in grades 6-8 who attend school in Rosemount or live within Rosemount city boundaries are invited to attend the monthly supervised teen nights at the Rosemount Community Center from 6:30 to 9 p.m. Teen Night is a safe environment where youth can socialize and interact with each other in a positive way. Activities include music, games and open gym. Cost is $2 per person.

Master gardener plant sale
The Let's Get Planting Master Gardener plant Sale will be on Saturday, May 9 from 9 a.m. to noon at the Master Gardener Education and Research Display Garden at UMore Park. This is a very popular community event with customers lining up with their wagons hours before opening so plan to get there early.
RHS boys soccer pancake breakfast
The Rosemount High School Boys Soccer program will host a pancake breakfast at Applebee's in Rosemount 8 to 10 a.m. Saturday, May 9. Tickets are $6. For more information contact Matha Danes at 651-423-0322.
A citywide clean-up day will be held Saturday, May 16, from 8 a.m. until noon at Dakota County Technical College, 1300 145th Street East in the west parking lot. The line up will begin at the UMore research facility and extend north along Akron Avenue. Drivers should enter off Highway 3 or Blaine Avenue onto 160th Street for easier line up.

Trainer will speak at AFC
Jenny Wilcox, a Personal Trainer and Instructor Coordinator with the SilverSneakers Fitness Program® will be presenting a session on "Secrets of Staying Healthy this Summer" at 11:30 a.m. Monday, May 18 at America's Fitness Center in Rosemount. This is free and open to the public. Refreshments will be served. America's Fitness Center is located at 14555 S. Robert Trail in Rosemount. For more information call 651-322-5552. There will be a free fitness class offered to Medicare eligible adults at 10:30 a.m., the public is welcome. Please bring identification to show the front desk staff.
Tuesday Evening in the Garden
The Dakota County Master Gardener's will start their Tuesday Evenings in the Garden classes May 26.
The first topic will be Iris: A Kaleidoscope of Color. Lee Kaibel will teach the class.
Classes are $10 a session. The classes begin at 6:30 p.m. and will be held at 1605 160th St W (CR 46) in Rosemount.
