August 4

Registration due for skate camp

3rd lair is bringing their skating professionals to Rosemount for an unforgettable week of tricks, instruction, skating and surprises. We'll start with the basics including balance, pushing and dropping in. Once you've mastered these, we'll pull out all the tricks such as ollies, kick flips, heel flips, ramp riding and much more. A skateboard and helmet are required for the camp.

The camp will run from Aug. 11-15 at the Rosemount Skate Park.

Cost is $120 per person. Registration is due Aug. 4.

August 5

National Night Out

National Night Out events will be held all over the city starting from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m.

NNO is meant to heighten crime awareness and to get neighbors out to meet each other.

Health fair

Take an active part in your health with convenient screenings at Walgreens. The Pilot Knob store will be offering blood pressure, blood glucose, cholesterol panel, and bone density testing. The cholesterol panel and bone density each have a fee of $30. The other tests will be available at no cost. If you intend to get cholesterol checked, please come fasting for most accurate results. The fair will be held from 9am to 1pm at the Walgreens located at the south east corner of 140th and Pilot Knob in Apple Valley. August 16

Rosemount High School reunion 1918-1964

A combined reunion will be held for the classes of 1918 through 1964 at the Rosemount Community Center. Tours of the old school, now part of the Rosemount Middle School, will take place from 2 to 3 p.m. Registration and a social will begin at 3 p.m. Dinner will be served at 5 p.m. followed by a short program.
