Eight will compete for school board seats
One final candidate showed up to round out the ballot in the final week of filing for November's District 196 School Board election.
There will be eight candidates on the ballot for the election, competing for three available seats.
The incumbents who currently hold those seats will try to hold on to them. Apple Valley resident Mike Roseen, Eagan resident Kevin Sampers and Apple Valley resident Art Coulson all filed for re-election. Coulson was appointed last year to fill a vacancy created when Bruce Endler resigned from the board.
Also on the ballot are Rochell Al Ansari of Burnsville, Steve Bolluyt of Eagan, Jack Gresser of Eagan, Rob Killian of Eagan and Jackie Miller of Burnsville.
The election will take place Nov. 3.
