Editorial: Get out and enjoy Rosemount
This is an exciting time of year to live in Rosemount. The days are still long, the weather is warm and there is no shortage of opportunities to get active.
Consider, for example, some of the parks profiled in recent issues of the Town Pages. Our series of stories about outdoor recreation opportunities in the area wraps up this week with a front-page look at Carroll's Woods, a little bit of nature right in the middle of the city. Some of you might have seen our previous pieces on Spring Lake Park or Dakota Woods Dog Park. Others, like those of you getting this issue as part of our subscription promotion, might want to check them out to see what is available to you right outside your back door.
If parks aren't your thing, you might consider pulling out your bicycle and getting in a little training with the group profiled on the back page of this section. Or, if you're looking for something a bit more sedate, you could just cruise one of the city's growing number of bike paths.
You could take in one of the sports teams in action this summer, or visit the Robert Trail Library to enjoy a book, an activity or just a little air conditioning.
That's a pretty impressive list, and we haven't even gotten to the biggest item on Rosemount's summer schedule. As this issue goes to press, Leprechaun Days is just days away, and it promises 10 days full of fun activities and opportunities to gather with your fellow Rosemount residents. It is the highlight of the summer for many in the city, and there is a good reason for that.
If you want to know more about Leprechaun Days activities, check out the special section inside this issue of the Town Pages. It's got stories on many of the activities and people that make Leprechaun Days special. It also has a full schedule of events.
However you choose to spend the rest of the summer, there are a few things you can count on. Rosemount will have things to keep you busy, and the Town Pages will be there to let you know what's going on.
